The way I want it to be and the way it is meant to be.
It shall be full, round, bold, strong, whole.
Not dented, torn, collapsed, wounded, weak, tattered
Fragmented, unusable, unworthy.
I am not carving that one, though it is quite familiar.
I carve with great anticipation, hands guided more by feeling than thought.
I am forming the soul that is my birthright—the one-of-a-kind soul that God created on purpose.
The undamaged, joyful, healthy center—evidencing rest, comfort, completeness
The soul that needs no adornment—simple, quiet and present—a beauty of form, not function.
Slow, stable, at peace—a pleasant, confident statement of effortless worth and value
I intend that it will be open, attentive, responsive, and transparent—
the view through its heart offering perspective, focus and wisdom
Organic, alive, inviting, it will be simple, formed gently out of common stone—
An integrated structural form with egg-shell strength designed to serve well for the long run.
I wonder aloud,
Can spirits speak such messages through simple stone?
Now that the form is complete,
I know that they do.
